Seminar Location
The Seminar will be held at the Natura Cabana Hotel & Spa in Perla Marina just outside the town of Cabarete, Dominican Republic. This gated community has a semi-private beach on the Atlantic Ocean nestled on the northern coast. Cabarete is widely renowned for its sun-soaked beaches, vibrant lifestyle and as the "water sports capital" of the Caribbean is a popular destination for surfing, windsurfing, and kitesurfing. It features warm temperatures year-round.
Lodging
Natura Cabana Boutique Hotel & Spa is an ECO resort featuring beachfront bungalows with 1-3 bedrooms (Only selected Bungalows feature AC, all have ceiling fans). Located on a pristine beach with waves ideal for body surfing. The on-site international cuisine restaurant features healthy food and open air dining. To make a reservation: Contact them directly at 1-849-214-7010 for availability (mention ECKANKAR for the special room rates). Use WhatsApp to avoid international rates. The website does not show all availability.
Airbnb properties. There is an array of affordable Villas or Apartments that can be rented through Airbnb. (Make sure it is located in the residential area “Perla Marina“ in Cabarete for easy walking distance to Natural Cabana. On the Airbnb map you’ll see Natura Cabana on the waterfront)
Beachwalk Hotel in Perla Marina. This Basic Hotel is within the Perla Marina gated community, approximately a 10 minute walk to the Seminar Hotel, and the beach. Prices range from 40 USD per night for a one-bedroom Studio or 80 USD for a two-bedroom Condo. The rooms are basic but comfortable. How to get here
The closest Airport to the Seminar location is Puerto Plata Airport (POP) a 25 minute Taxi or shuttle ride. Next is Santiago airport (STI), about a 2-hour taxi ride or the Santo Domingo airport (SDQ), about a 4-hour taxi ride.
For Seminar guests we are cooperating with a local transportation company for a flat rate shuttle van from and to the airport (Pay the shuttle in cash/USD). If you’d like to use this service, simply send your flight details to Mark at sharehu@gmail.com. We’ll arrange for transportation to your hotel.
Travel Requirements for visiting Dominican Republic
Before your flight visit https://eticket.migracion.gob.do/ to apply for an E-ticket from the D.R. government. You’ll create separate QR codes to print out or put on your phone for both your arriving and return flight. You’ll also need your passport and flight information. At one point it will ask where you’re staying. Search for and press “Natura Cabana” on the long list. (AirBnB will not work with their system).
